CLG Successfully Defends Ballot Referendum Petition before Electoral Board
The firm recently represented the petitioner in a matter involving an effort to place a tax-cut referendum item on the upcoming county-wide ballot. Certain individuals objected to the petition, alleging that the petition was fraudulent, and should be invalidated due to alleged violations of the Illinois Election Code.  After multiple weeks of proceedings, the electoral board overruled the objections, and sustained the petition, resulting in a win for the firm’s client.
